# Macro II 2010

#

**The teachers:** will be John Hassler, Per Krusell and Paul
Klein.

**Course purpose**: continue
building a base for understanding and doing macroeconomic research, emphasizing
theory and associated quantitative applications.

**TA sessions**: will be
taught by Axel Bernergård och Alex Schmitt. They will discuss homework
solutions as well as analyze a variety of models that complement the material taught
in class.

**Examination**: the final
grade is determined based on homeworks (20%) and on an exam (80%).

**Readings**: lecture notes from each
lecturer, plus a selection of other sources, including Per

Krusell's *Real Macroeconomic Theory*, Chad Jones's *Introduction to Economic Growth*,

Daron Acemoglu's *Introduction
to Modern Economic Growth*, Ljungqvist and Sargent's

*Recursive Macroeconomic Theory,* and some
specific papers.
